Lacrimal ducts are small, thin tubular structures located in the eye region that serve as channels or passages for tears to flow from the lacrimal gland to the nasal cavity. Tears are produced in the lacrimal gland, which is positioned above the outer corner of each eye. The lacrimal gland secretes tears to keep the eyes moist and to protect them from foreign particles, irritants, and infections.

Finally, tears are carried into the nasal cavity, contributing to the moisture and lubrication of the nasal passages.
